I am but a man.
I'm gonna go with that classic "journal" style

I have finally made it to a safe place. Or safe for now, at least. This old church's belltower also works as a good lookout point to the nearby village... Grim sight, I cannot see anything but these roaming corpses. I think it is safe to assume I will be all alone here, so I barricaded the stairwell & ladders to the tower with some benches, and of course, using trusty nail & hammer combo. Unfortunately, I won't last for more than a week or two with these supplies here, even though I carried pretty much everything humanly possible in my backpack. I think I saw a gas station nearby while escaping here, I ought to check it out at some point. I think I might be able to use some rope for a nice in & out solution from the tower, and those rotting freaks look like they won't be doing no mountain climbing anytime soon. But for that will have to wait, I need to sleep now... I just wish the screams & moaning would stop...

I checked the gas station today. It was rather easy to avoid most of the "zombies" in all that open space, but I had to use some precious rifle ammo. Luckily, I could gather loads of supplies back to the belltower, and I found a nice revolver under the counter too. I could use with more spare shots, though. For now, I will observe the situation for a couple of days and see if anything happens...

I explored the village a bit more today. It's a nightmare. People here didn't seem to have enough time to prepare. Poor bastards couldn't even finish the barricading. I thought I heard someone cry in on of the basements, but it was all eerie... I... I couldn't go there. The very air froze as I tried to approach the basement stairwell. I don't believe in supernatural ( In a zombie apocalypse? Ironic, no? ), but I swear I could hear that same cry during the nights. Gives me the creeps. I did find some non-essential & essential stuff, but nothing special. I will explore the whole village later.

I almost got killed today, thanks to something extremely uncommon. I always travel during bright daylight, since these freaks don't mind the dark, so at least it's safer when you can see around you yourself. But, today, I swear I heard that same crying sound when I was sneaking in the backyards... And suddenly I was attacked by a very fast freak. How the hell could it run? It jumped on me, but luckily he was unable to directly cut or bite me, thanks to my thick vest. I managed to overpower him in the end, and finished the bastard off with my fire ax. So, I'm now being even more paranoid, so I will keep the rope from hanging from the tower during the time I'm in there, and barricade a doorlike thing on the window just in case.

I found a working radio today, and I managed to get it in the tower. There still seems to be an army stronghold somewhere in the south, but it's all rather static. I also could pick up some other survivors channels, most of them are also alone, barricaded somewhere. At least I could finally talk to someone...
09.20.2016
I'm getting more desperate. Today I could witness one of the fellow survivors barricades being overrun. I... I could hear it all. The screams.
09.21.2016
That crying sound is making me very nervous. It is very unpleasant to hear, and I sometimes wake up during the nights for it. I'm afraid to open the window hatch during the night anymore, so I even enforced it a bit. I also checked the barricades down the ladder, they are too strong for the freaks to go trough, but I enforced them as well, just in case.
09.23.2016
Went for a food gathering missio again. I swear I saw one of them running again, so I left that vicinity immediately. How come do they even live? I mean, they don't eat, they don't sleep... what on earth keeps them going?!
09.25.2016
The military outpost up south just got overrun today, or they more likely just abandoned the place. I heard that they are still trying to evacuate people with boats up east, to Europe. Hope they are being extremely careful, it this thing spreads there... Whatever the case, I really need to consider traveling there, or I will be left here until I starve to death or worse. I need a car.
09.28.2016
For some reason, working cars with keys are not easy to come up with! But, I found a nice SUV! It might be slow, but it is heavy enough to smash trough those hordes. The crying is getting worse, and when I was parking the SUV near the church during sundown, I swear, I swear I saw a... young girl in the street in a yellow dress, ignored by the zombies. She was looking at me... Even though I wasn't close, it scared the living shit out of me. Her eyes, even though I couldn't exactly see them, pierced right trough me. I have never climbed a rope that fast in my life. I'm leaving tomorrow.
10.01.2016
I'm heading east. Need to find a place to sleep.
It's slow progress, since most of the roads are blocked.
10.02.2016
I found a safe place in an abandoned warehouse, I blocked the door with my SUV & added some barricades. I think I'm short on sanity. I saw that little girl again today, but I'm miles away from the village! She was staring at me again... I... I need to sleep.
10.03.2016
I have been seeing more & more of those fast freaks around. What on earth... are they evolving?! It's getting all the more cliche too... now these zombies have red, glowing eyes. I mean, cmon! Nevertheless, I will be sleeping in the SUV today, I found a nice garage for it.
10.04.2016
I'm amazed more cliches like a motor break hasn't occurred yet. I saw that girl again. This time, I stopped the car for a second. She... lunged towards me, but not in a normal way. Her head... was... shaking and she almost "floated" towards me. At the same time, those fast bastards started scratching the windshield. I took off. Fast. I should arrive to the port tomorrow. Thank god. I heard it is still operational.
10.05.2016
I made it. I'm safe. The boat is preparing to leave as I write this final page of my journal down. Still, I get this eerie feel down here at the cargo bay... Like I heard... crying? Must be *the rest of the journal is soaked in blood, and is unreadable*"
